- Shafi Wardak is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Male Fertility Specialist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. Shafi has developed the newly commissioned NHS regional male fertility service for the Thames Valley region. He has expertise in the assessment and management of male infertility and offers several methods of surgical sperm retrieval. Shafi qualified from University College London with a degree of MBBS in 2009. He also undertook a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences at University of London before being awarded a Master’s degree in Surgical Technology from Imperial College London. He completed his higher surgical training in London teaching hospitals including The Royal London, Guy’s & St Thomas’, and University College London Hospitals (UCLH). He undertook a senior fellowship at the Institute of Andrology at UCLH, where he developed expertise in male fertility management and genital reconstruction.
He has a keen interest in research, having published in high impact peer reviewed scientific journals, and he regularly presents his research at national and international academic conferences.
